Brown, Baker to speak at casino industry association panel

U.S. Rep. Anthony Brown and former Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker are among speakers scheduled to appear at a casino industry association’s panel discussion next week.
The panel, set for 9 a.m. Monday at Ballroom B of MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, is hosted by the American Gaming Association, which plans to discuss how casinos in Maryland support local communities and provide resources to customers so they enjoy themselves responsibly.
The discussion will coincide with the release of the association’s report on Maryland casinos’ investments in communities and how the casinos provide opportunities for economic development across the state.
Also scheduled to appear in the panel discussion are Mary Drexler, program director of the Maryland Center for Excellence on Problem Gaming, Melonie Johnson, president and COO of MGM National Harbor, Bill Miller, president and CEO of the American Gaming Association, William Parker, owner of the Parker K-9 Group LLC in Woodbridge, Virginia and Carla Truitt, owner of Be Clean Cleaning Services Inc. in Fort Washington.
