Bioqual begins COVID-19 vaccine candidate testing program

A Rockville firm that conducts contract research services in living organisms has begun to develop testing programs for COVID-19 vaccine candidates.
Bioqual Inc. announced Tuesday that its efforts to develop animal models for COVID-19 started in February in a collaboration with Dr. Dan Barouch at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Ragon Institute, both in Boston.
The company said in a news release it is now focused on COVID-19 research.
