is now underway for a new building that will bring four national brands to Northwest Baltimore’s Reisterstown Road Plaza, Tide Realty Capital announced Friday.

The shopping center, located at 6564 Reisterstown Road, broke ground on the property last week, and will welcome fast casual and fast eateries Chipotle, Five Guys, Quickway and Jersey Mike’s to the establishment.

The multi-million dollar investment marks another step in the ongoing revitalization of The Plaza, according to Tide Realty Capital, a Baltimore-area agency that purchased the shopping center for $48.3 million in 2023. The real estate firm said it envisions transforming the 64-year-old property into a modern community and retail destination.

“This project represents far more than the addition of new restaurants — it is another meaningful investment in the future of this community,” Tide Realty Capital President Aaron Loeb said in a release.

“Nationally recognized brands like Chipotle, Five Guys, Quickway and Jersey Mike’s are among the growing list of retailers recognizing The Plaza as the central community hub for Northwest Baltimore and capitalizing on the momentum behind our revitalization efforts. These tenants will expand options for residents and local employees, while driving additional retail traffic to support long-term economic growth for the surrounding area.”

Construction on the 8,200-square-foot multitenant site is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, according to Tide Realty Capital. The restaurants are set to open shortly thereafter.

According to a release, Chipotle will occupy 2,519 square feet and feature a “Chipotlane” drive-thru pickup lane; Five Guys will occupy 2,400 square feet; and Jersey Mike’s and Quickway will occupy 1,500 square feet apiece.
