What is your most significant professional accomplishment?
I consider striking out on my own to create my own practice, after decades in the Maryland Public Defender’s Office, to have been a major challenge. Maintaining that practice through the global pandemic is the accomplishment I am most proud of, at this point in my career.
What is your most significant personal accomplishment?
Completing my Juris Doctor has been my most significant personal achievement.
In many of the challenging moments during the pursuit, I drew on her words to help me through. I will always associate that moment on stage, receiving the diploma, with the strength and resilience of my mother and all of her female ancestors.
