Kraig Long specializes in defending employers against workplace claims, including discrimination, harassment, wage violations and wrongful termination. He counsels supervisors on accommodating disabilities, managing medical leave and creating inclusive workplaces.

Long conducts independent investigations of harassment allegations, responds to discrimination charges and remediates workplace issues for businesses ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 corporations.

Long serves on the Prince George’s County Judicial Nominating Committee and is president of the Judge Alexander Williams Jr. Center at the University of Maryland, which addresses challenges facing underserved communities.

What is the accomplishment that you are most proud of?

One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is mentoring young lawyers. Guiding the next generation of lawyers has been not only a responsibility but also a deeply rewarding part of my career. I take great pride in helping young attorneys build confidence in their abilities while fostering an environment where young lawyers feel supported, challenged, and empowered to grow.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned as an attorney?

That all you have is your reputation.

How do you spend your free time?

Staying active; playing golf; going for hikes.
