What is the accomplishment that you are most proud of?
I am most proud of earning and maintaining the respect, trust, and confidence of numerous clients. I am proud that I have been able to leverage the lessons that I have learned and apply them in a proactive manner to assist clients in preventing litigation and employment claims; resolving nuanced and highly charged disputes; and establishing sound and effective employment policies and strategies which improve hiring, retention, performance management and the culture of an organization.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned as an attorney?
I have learned that authentic empathy and an unending commitment to the craft are superpowers. The ability to seek to understand and become aware of the needs, goals, and experiences of employers and employees fosters creative, practical and lasting solutions to complex workplace issues. The best employment attorneys are lifelong “students,” and welcome the challenge of acquiring new legal skills and learning new strategies for understanding legal issues and the needs and goals of clients.
How do you spend your free time?
I spend my free time with family, traveling, reading, working out, and attending movies and plays.
