Amy Shlossman, president of and and senior vice president of LifeBridge Health, will depart the organization for a job as chief executive officer of Oregon Health & Science University.

LifeBridge Health made the announcement June 12. Leslie Simmons, the health system’s chief operating officer, will serve in Shlossman’s stead as the interim president of Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center as LifeBridge Health officials launch a national search for Shlossman’s successor, according to a release.

Shlossman joined LifeBridge Health in 2023. In her short tenure, she oversaw the completion of a $61.6 million renovation project at Grace Medical Center in West and contributed to the opening of The Factory, the West Baltimore Renaissance Foundation’s community opportunity center supporting workforce development, food access and population health, a release says.

“I am deeply grateful to our extraordinary team members and proud of what we have achieved together across Sinai Hospital and Grace Medical Center,” Shlossman said in a statement.

“Together, our teams have transformed care delivery—building a culture where every voice matters, elevating quality to the top in the state and expanding access, so more patients receive timely care. Behind every improvement is a patient whose experience was better because of our team. It has been a true privilege to work alongside such dedicated colleagues, board members and community partners.”

Shlossman’s departure will be a return to the West Coast. Prior to her stint at LifeBrdige Health, Shlossman was the CEO of the American Red Cross in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

During Shlossman’s time with LifeBridge Health, Sinai Hospital emergency department’s underwent a $50 million renovation and expansion. In addition, the 125,000-square-foot Mandy & Dennis Weinman Building, set to open this summer, will consolidate all outpatient cancer services at Sinai in a “modern, patient-centered” facility, according to LifeBridge Health.

“Amy’s leadership has strengthened Sinai and Grace, making a lasting difference in the communities we serve,” Simmons said.

“She brought a clear vision for advancing quality, access and engagement, and she inspired our teams to deliver on that vision every day. Her leadership has strengthened our hospitals and helped position them for continued success. We are grateful for her many contributions and wish her the very best in this next chapter.”
