The Daily Record held its Leading Women awards event Thursday night at the Hyatt Regency in Baltimore. The award recognizes women 40 years or younger for their professional accomplishments and commitment to inspiring change.
New gym for Baltimore Police Department
Beginning Wednesday, officers in the Baltimore Police Department’s Southeastern District will have a new workplace perk. A 2,500-square-foot fitness training center is set to open as part of a renovation of the station house, located at 5710 Eastern Ave.

The Kinsey Collection set to open at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum
The Kinsey Collection exhibit opened for a press tour on Oct. 31, 2013 and opens to the public on Nov. 2. The exhibit contains art and artifacts chronicling African-American history and culture dating back to the 1600s, including an early copy of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Gameday at Dunbar’s new football field
Dunbar High School’s redeveloped football field is near its 1-year anniversary and has been a boon to the football team and the neighborhood. The $2 million stadium is open in the mornings for community members and is also home to Dunbar’s lacrosse and soccer teams.
The Daily Record celebrates Innovator of the Year awards, 125th anniversary
The Innovator of the Year awards event was held Wednesday night at the American Visionary Art Museum. Winners were recognized for creating new products, services or programs that have improved their fields. The event also celebrated The Daily Record's 125th anniversary.
Baltimore casino construction continuing on schedule

Upper Chesapeake Health System's new Patricia D. and M. Scot Kaufman Center is the first multidisciplinary, comprehensive care center in Harford County.
