St. John starts retail construction at Windsor Mill
Listen to this articleSt. John Properties Inc. has started construction on 9,500 square feet of speculative inline retail in its Windsor Mill Office Park.
The retail space will be adjacent an existing WaWa and will have direct visibility and access from North Rolling Road.
Spaces will begin at 1,300 square feet and St. John plans for a variety of uses including fast-casual restaurants, business services and small boutiques. The retail is being built with the intention of serving employees of tenants at surrounding business parks. Large businesses and organizations in the area include Northrop Grumman Systems, the Social Security Administration and the Baltimore office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“The submarket immediately surrounding Windsor Office Park remains under-retailed as employees working in surrounding business parks continue to seek new restaurant and shopping amenities that they can access during their lunch time,” Bill Holzman, vice president of Retail Leasing at St. John Properties, said.
