ANNAPOLIS – A Harford County Republican is about to be the newest member of the state Senate.
Delegate Barry Glassman is to be sworn in Thursday to replace former senator Robert Hooper. Hooper resigned because of medical reasons.
Both Hooper and Glassman are Republicans from Harford. A Bel Air lawyer, H. Wayne Norman, has been tapped to replace Glassman in the House of Delegates, but Norman has not been sworn in yet.
The legislature returns to work next Wednesday.
