Md.’s unclaimed stimulus checks

Listen to this article

On Friday, Democrats in Congress began to push for another federal stimulus package like the one that passed last winter. According to CNN, this bill will be targeted toward helping state governments pay their bills, helping out especially with Medicaid spending.

There’s no indication in this article that the roughly $150 billion spending package would include the consumer givebacks that the spending package earlier this year did, but there may still be hope for you. Baltimore leads the state in potential unfiled tax returns, according to a release from Comptroller Peter Franchot.

Anyone who didn’t file a return didn’t get their stimulus check, so the state still has thousands of folks who might be eligible for a little cash infusion.
