Rainforest Café closes in Towson
admin//January 13, 2009//
Rainforest Café at Towson Town Center served its final customers on Sunday, Jan. 11. The shopping center had told the restaurant it wanted to use the now-available space for retail expansion.
Towson Town Center began a massive renovation and expansion in 2006. It has since added restaurants from P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Cheesecake Factory, and stores from Burberry and Louis Vuitton.
Despite the Towson closing, Houston-based Landry’s Restaurants Inc., which owns Rainforest Café, said it plans to expand the franchise and will open a Houston restaurant in the spring.
