Corina Morga-Carter was inspired to start a business six years ago as a way to connect Hispanic people with jobs.

C.R. Services started in residential cleaning and now offers post-construction cleaning and other customized construction services and packages.

After founding the business, Morga-Carter, who is Hispanic and Native American, started a nonprofit to help her employees. She also launched the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which allows her to support fellow entrepreneurs and build bridges between communities.

“Being an entrepreneur gives me the flexibility to really do more for the people I care about and live the life I want to, that’s not confined within walls or timetables,” Morga-Carter said.

She started the nonprofit Bmore Latina in order to help the needs of her employees and others, such as supporting their families with furniture donations, child care, addressing health issues not normally found in first-world countries and providing resources beyond what low skilled labor paychecks offer.

Morga-Carter is also pursuing her Master’s of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins.
