Marshall Klein
President, Klein’s Family Markets
Marshall Klein, president of Klein’s Family Markets, a multistore supermarket company based in Forest Hill, has worked with the family business for some 16 years and was made president of the organization in September 2021.
Klein is a board member of Wakefern, the largest retailer’s cooperative group of supermarkets in the country, and the Maryland Retailers Association, among other organizations.
Klein earned his law degree in 2006 at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
“As the leader of a retail grocery company, I am most passionate about food insecurity. Food insecurity affects every community we serve and is often far less
visible than it should be. We have the unique ability to make a difference in this area and impact the lives of those who are struggling. As part of our commitment, our company donates over $90,000 annually to the Maryland Food Bank,” Klein said.
While Klein has used his strong work ethic and determination to get where he is today, he credits his father, grandparents and uncles as having profound impacts on his life’s path.
“They have inspired me in so many ways. Each of them sets an incredible example of how to run a business while supporting the communities that we serve. Their commitment to the community stays with me and inspires me every day,” Klein said.
