Friends and staff of Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore gathered for a special dedication and blessing ceremony Jan. 9 for the hospital’s expanded Lung Center.
Now doubled in size, The center has added Interventional Pulmonology, featuring cutting-edge technology for the care of people dealing with pulmonary nodules, lung cancer, pleural diseases, and advanced COPD.
Under the direction of board-certified interventional pulmonologist Saiyad “Sy” Sarkar, M.D., the center offers minimally invasive procedures, such as robotic bronchoscopy and pleuroscopy.
