Bowie’s South Lake Marketplace adds 5 retailers in latest wave of tenant signings

South Lake Marketplace, the retail centerpiece of the $1.3 billion South Lake mixed-use development in Bowie, Monday announced the addition of five new tenants joining its lineup of retailers and restaurants.
Located at the intersection of Route 301 and Route 214, the regional shopping complex when completed in 2025 will be surrounded by 1,600 new residential units, a sports complex and two new nationally branded hotels.
The latest additions to South Lake Marketplace include AjaBlu Salon & Studio, GELAT’OH, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Ledo Pizza and Pack ‘N Business Solutions LLC. With these additions, Phase 1 of South Lake Marketplace is 80% leased.
These retailers join previously announced tenants including anchor Giant Food and Ma Pearl’s, a restaurant specializing in Creole, Cajun and southern cuisine, adding to the tenant mix at South Lake Marketplace. The development continues to attract businesses that align with its vision of creating a premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination for Prince George’s County and the broader region.
South Lake is a $1.3 billion mixed-use development spanning 381 acres. Upon completion, it will feature the South Lake Marketplace retail, dining and hospitality district, adjacent to the Liberty Sports Park hosting more than 344,000 visitors annually. The masterplan community brings together 1,600 new residences from luxury apartments to single-family homes along with parks, trails and lifestyle amenities.
