Maryland Lottery player wins $50,000 – but prize is unclaimed
One lucky Maryland Lottery player has a $50,000-winning ticket purchased in Pittsville, a prize that had not yet been claimed by Dec. 22.
Here’s what to know on where the ticket was purchased, plus all the latest on Powerball and Mega Millions.
A $50,000-winning Bonus Match 5 ticket was sold Dec. 17 at Pittsville Mart at 34430 Old Ocean City Road in Pittsville (unclaimed as of Dec. 22.)
As the Powerball jackpot swelled to an annuity value of $1.6 billion, four players in Maryland were off by one in the past week for $50,000 third-tier wins.
The four big wins – one each in Bowie, Gwynn Oak, Hagerstown and Stevensville – were among 26 Maryland Lottery scores of $10,000 or more in the past week.
The winning numbers in the Dec. 20 Powerball drawing were 4-5-28-52-69-20, Power Play 3X. With no big winner, the jackpot for the Dec. 22 drawing swells to $1.6 billion, with an estimated cash payout option of $735.3 million.
The winning numbers in the Dec. 19 Mega Millions drawing were 1-11-27-29-59, Mega Ball 18.
The jackpot for the Dec. 23 Mega Millions drawing is $100 million, with an estimated cash payout option of $45.5 million.
