Specialty medical clinic opens in Harford County

Local Infusion, a specialty health care and technology company, announced its in Maryland with the recent opening of its new office.

The company opened the Bel Air clinic six months after securing $30 million in Series B funding, according to a release. Local Infusion plans to work closely with the community to provide comprehensive care for patients needing specialty infusion therapy.

The clinic, located at 225 Brierhill Drive, Suite H, will aim to bring more time-efficient and cost-efficient infusion care options to the area. The Bel Air medical office, sitauted in the Greenbrier Shopping Center, is the fifth Local Infusion clinic in Maryland, joining Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Pikesville and Silver Spring.

“Our new Bel Air clinic provides a new option for specialty infusion care that works alongside existing healthcare providers,” Local Infusion CEO and co-founder Woody Baum said.

“By offering specialized infusion services in a community setting, we can extend capacity for health systems while providing patients with convenient, affordable options close to home.”

According to a rleease, the facility features six private infusion suites made to optimize comfort for patients – all of which are outfitted with seating for the patients and caregivers, a television, Wi-Fi and more.

All Local Infusion clinics offer evening and weekend appointments and patients typically receive treatment within three days after physician referral, potentially saving 30% to 50% on care, a company release says.

Additionally, the new clinic will offer immediate access to care, which includes treating conditions like Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis for patients requiring infusion therapy

 and others, the new clinic offers immediate access to care.
