Ascension St. Agnes to open new site in West Baltimore
Ascension Saint Agnes plans to open a primary-care location in the city’s Edmondson Village neighborhood.
Scheduled to open in the fall, the new practice will join the redeveloped Edmondson Village Shopping Center located at 4520 Edmondson Ave. in West Baltimore. The teaching hospital hopes to bring essential services – including chronic disease management, mental health support and more – to the community.
An event to formally announce the arrival of the new St. Agnes site will take place Monday at noon.

Ascension Saint Agnes President and CEO Beau Higginbotham will join community leaders and residents to showcase construction progress and preview the new primary-care location.
Gov. Wes Moore and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott are also expected to attend, the health care system announced.
“West Baltimore community members face a higher risk for poor health outcomes, including chronic diseases and lower life expectancy,” a Saint Agnes statement says.
“Services of this new primary care practice will include chronic disease management, behavioral health integration, and screening and navigation for unmet social needs.”
Funding from the Maryland Department of Health will support this project along with support from the Health Services Cost Review Commission through the EQIP Primary Care Program.
Investment group Chicago TREND, the owner of Edmondson Village Shopping Center, will host the announcement event.
