Quantitative Portfolio Manager and Analyst,

Vice President

T. Rowe Price

When T. Rowe Price brings on four young financial analysts for each year for two-year fellowships, the Baltimore investment giant routinely taps the same employee as their supervisor and mentor: Anna Dreyer.

It’s a job she relishes and for which she has won praise, both from the organization and the young analysts.

Dreyer’s credentials are impressive: She earned a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

At T. Rowe Price, which she joined in 2008, she developed a strategy for mitigating investment risk and was tapped to manage the strategy, which now has more than $400 million in assets. She also is a member of the organization’s Women’s Roundtable, and chairwoman of its recruiting committee.

“I am a strong, pragmatic, capable and respected leader who brings novel perspectives within my area of quantitative finance, a STEM field where women are traditionally under-represented,” Dreyer said. “I have benefitted from impactful mentorship in my education and career, and strive to give back.”

Dreyer, who was born in Belarus, also is a regular volunteer at both the Krieger Schechter Day School and the Goldsmith Early Childhood Education Center.
