The Daily Record created the Top 100 Women Scholarship in 2003 to take the annual Top 100 Women awards program to the next level. The Circle of Excellence Top 100 Women honorees (winning for the third and final time) review the applications and select one scholarship recipient annually that emulates the qualities of a Top 100 Woman.
The criteria include:
- Must be a successful undergraduate student (sophomore to senior year);
- Must take on leadership roles in the community;
- Must demonstrate a commitment to mentoring;
- Must be a student currently attending one of Maryland’s four-year, fully accredited, degree-granting institutions.
The application should be completed by a representative of the University. So, students if you want to participate go to your Financial Aid Office or Advisor to ask for help completing the application.
The honoree will be awarded a $3,000 scholarship at the Top 100 Women event, will have a profile written about them in the awards magazine and at TheDailyRecord.com, and will be invited to attend the VIP reception and accept her scholarship on stage at the event.
If your college or university has a student that meets this criterion and should be considered, please complete the application below and submit a letter of reference so our judges can review each application and select the young women who is academically success and is on track to create change, give back to her community and mentor other leaders.
