Flying Dog Brewery expands distribution of Victress Cranberry Lime Kettle Sour
Maryland’s largest brewery is expanding distribution of its Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day beer, Victress Cranberry Lime Kettle Sour, in a show of support for women in the brewing industry.
The Pink Boots Society was created to assist, inspire and encourage women in the brewing industry to advance their careers through education. Every year, Flying Dog participates in the organization’s collaboration brew day project and brews Victress with a special blend of hops selected by the organization.
Proceeds from the beer are then donated back to the organization to support educational scholarships and programming for its members.
The 6.8% ABV ale (up from 4.2% in 2020) was brewed with the 2021 Pink Boots Hop Blend as well as specialty ingredients cranberry and lime.
In 2020, Victress was released on a small scale, but received positive feedback from consumers. In 2021, the Pink Boots Society chose to expand distribution of Victress beyond Maryland to select retailers in Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
