Owner, Chairman of the Board
Capital Funding Group
Jack Dwyer founded Capital Funding Group in 1993, and since then has helped finance more than $5.2 billion in FHA-insured health care mortgages.
Over the years, Dwyer has formed other organizations, including Capital Health Group LLC, a self-advised real estate company that focuses on independent, assisted living and memory care facilities; Capital Lending and Mortgage Group LLC, a health care bridge lending company; and, Capital Hospital Finance Group LLC., a merchant banking and advisory division focused on providing financing for acute care and specialty hospitals.
A certified public accountant, Dwyer earned his bachelor’s in business administration from Widener University, in Pennsylvania.
“Very early in my career, as I was growing the company, I felt that it was appropriate and important to use my influence and success to help others grow and reach their goals,” Dwyer said. “I feel so fortunate to be able to pay it forward and help improve the lives of others and in the Baltimore community.”
When the pandemic hit, Dwyer said, he “took a step back and evaluated how I and my team can help others.
“We got creative and developed a host of programs and initiatives to help our employees, clients and the community, to not only provide relief but to also stimulate our local economy — the foundation of our community’s success.”
His accessible, hands-on style as a manager, Dwyer said, was especially valuable during the pandemic.
“Being hands-on allowed me and our senior team to continue supporting employees, clients and the community through a variety of creative approaches and programs. We were able to take the transition in stride and even develop new, more efficient processes to support our business goals.”
