What is your most significant accomplishment?
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I knew I needed to streamline our services to help our customers safely get the essential items that they needed. I spearheaded a very successful online shopping program across all of our stores within a month. I had to think outside of the box to launch a successful program from scratch with very little resources and later quickly trained our entire staff to use the system effectively. Online shopping was a crucial service that our customers across the Baltimore region during this time.

Outside of my direct reports, I’ve helped numerous young community members become more independent by obtaining their driver’s licenses and learning financial literacy to make smart decisions. Many of those who I’ve helped have come from difficult backgrounds and did not have access to transportation. I helped by taking them to their license test and later walked them through the car buying process. Most had no idea how to purchase a vehicle, so I taught them about budgeting, interest rates, down payments and how to secure the best car insurance.
