What is your most significant professional accomplishment?
Implementing the merger of the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore (EAGB) with the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) as the interim leader and chief operating officer while a national search was performed for a CEO.
The GBC members formally approved its merger with the EAGB in May 2022. The merger brought together two storied regional organizations to create a singular vision for how Baltimore will compete and thrive. The merged organization focuses on collaboration and equity in all of the greater Baltimore region’s communities.
The navigation of the transition process was and is a period of high disruption and change, impacting all areas of the lives of myself and our employees. During this time, I gained leadership of a team of 10, managed attrition, led monthly board, executive committee and transition team meetings, served as interim communications, policy and research and membership leader because of turnover and executed more than five GBC events. My pride is in delivering a healthy organization with stable membership to our new president and CEO.
