Baltimore-based Fearless appoints president of new digital division

Fearless, ‘s largest software development company and one of its largest minority-owned businesses, Tuesday named Alka Bhave as president of the company’s new business entity, Fearless Digital.

Fearless’ digital division designs, engineers and delivers digital solutions to solve problems and drive impact. In her new role, Bhave will be charged with growing its customer base within government and the private sector. In 2022, Fearless began expanding beyond government contracting to work with private enterprises such as the NFL and Exelon.

Prior to joining Fearless, Bhave was chief operations officer for Riverside Research. The nonprofit organization advances scientific research in the interest of national security, and Bhave managed the company’s corporate operations, leading transformation in infrastructure, processes, and culture to position the company for growth.

Before Riverside, she held positions of increasing responsibility with large government contracting organizations. She has experience supporting numerous  government customers in the intelligence community, DoD, as well as Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

With more than 26 years of experience in the public sector spanning systems engineering and integration, program and project management, and continuous improvement, Bhave brings leadership experience from public and private, for-profit and nonprofit entities focused on IT services, engineering, and research and development. She specializes in enterprise program performance, lean and agile principles, human-centered innovation and cybersecurity practices.

Bhave holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland, College Park. She serves as an advisory board member for the Northern Virginia Science Center and the University of Maryland Material Sciences & Engineering Board of Visitors.
