GBMC medical building named for philanthropists Sandra and Malcolm Berman
Longtime Baltimore philanthropists Sandra and Malcolm Berman have again invested in the health of greater Baltimore with the naming the Sandra R. Berman Medical Office Building.
Located in Owings Mills at 10085 Red Run Blvd., the Berman Medical Office Building houses a newly remodeled GBMC Health Partners patient-centered medical home (PCMH), providing a team-based approach to primary care for the Owings Mills community and beyond.
The health care team at GBMC Health Partners Owings Mills, which includes six physicians and a nurse practitioner, focuses on preventive care and managing acute and chronic illness to avoid unnecessary emergency department visits and hospitalizations.
Sandra Berman has served on GBMC’s Board of Directors for more than a decade.
Since its founding in 1965, GBMC has grown to handle more than 23,000 admissions and more than 52,000 emergency room visits annually from its 257-bed, acute and sub-acute care hospital in Towson. With GBMC Health Partners, the organization has established 12 advanced primary practices throughout the region.
