Pittsburgh’s Primanti Bros. restaurant expanding into Baltimore region
Primanti Brothers Restaurant and Bar will open its first location in the Baltimore region at 996 Corporate Blvd. in Linthicum Heights, company officials announced Tuesday.
Primanti Bros., the 91-year-old Pittsburgh-based creator of sandwiches topped with French fries, is expected to have about 100 employees, including management, bartenders, kitchen staff and servers.
The 5,227-square-foot restaurant is expected to open this spring.
In addition to its sandwiches, the restaurant’s menu includes traditional American favorites such as hamburgers, chicken wings and pizza. The restaurant will also feature a full bar and selection of craft and domestic beers, as well as liquor and signature cocktails.
Over the past 10 years, Primanti Bros. has more than doubled the number of restaurants in its portfolio. Launched in 1933 as a lunch cart in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, it currently operates 43 locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and a second Maryland restaurant in Hagerstown.
