Cheesesteak & Co., a sandwich shop offering a variety of cheesesteaks and other fast food items, plans to open a restaurant in Owings Mills‘ Red Run Station, according to founder and owner Phil Gharfeh.
Gharfeh signed a lease with Baltimore-area real estate development firm Hill Management Services Inc. for 1,700 square feet of space within the 10,500-square-foot Baltimore County retail center located at 11054 Red Run Blvd., according to a release.
The new site, expected to “become operational” this summer, will join the concept’s first location that opened in Elkridge in 2024, according to Hill Management Services.
“Our original intentions were to open our first location in Owings Mills and, after operating a highly-popular restaurant in Howard County for several years, decided now was the opportune time to scale our operations and come back (to) our roots,” Gharfeh said, according to a release.
“This area of Baltimore County features a cross-section of homes and different industries, and we believe we will attract families and businesspeople looking for high-quality and quickly-prepared lunch and dinner items. Red Run Station features excellent highway visibility and several tenants that attract strong consumer traffic. The center has an impressive following in the local community.”
Some of the restaurant’s traditional-style cheesesteaks include pizza, shrimp, The Stinger, The Fake Steak and The Pounder. Cheesesteak & Co.’s menu also features chicken cheesesteaks, smashburgers, side dishes and a kid’s menu featuring grilled cheese and chicken tenders.
Red Run Station’s tenants include Bubbakoo’s Burritos, Looks Nail Spa, Baltimore Smiles and Dunkin’ as the development expects to welcome superfood café Grain & Berry before the summer.
