McCormick recalls ground oregano

McCormick & Co. Inc. has issued a recall of certain bottles of ground oregano due to a possible salmonella risk.
The recall applies to 0.75-ounce bottles with best-by codes of AUG 21 16 H and AUG 22 16 H. It affects 1,032 cases of ground oregano that were shipped to 41 states and 10 countries.
McCormick learned of the potential risk during a Food and Drug Administration routine testing. No illnesses have been reported.
Store are instructed to remove and destroy the oregano immediately. Customers should dispose of the seasoning and contact customer affairs for a replacement or refund.
