Crystal Franz, Erica Malaga, Liz Angevine, Andy Abbott and Emily Anderson have joined Planit, a Baltimore-based communications, marketing and interactive agency.
Franz joins Planit as account director, overseeing the account management team by providing strategic guidance and overall direction on key accounts. As account director she will also strengthen client relationships to drive long-term agency growth. Previously, Franz worked as director of brand strategy for Choice Hotels International.
Franz received an MBA from Loyola University.
Malaga joins Planit as community manager after completing an internship with the company. Malanga will be managing day-to-day social media communities for multiple clients, researching new social trends and developing original, engaging and strategic social media content.
Malanga completed four internships prior to joining Planit including a marketing internship at the New England Confectionary Company and a public relations internship at the Franklin Institute. She graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
Angevine joins Planit as social media strategist, where she will be working for many of the company’s social media accounts as well as be involved in day-to-day community management. She previously worked as a senior marketing specialist at The Squires Group in Annapolis, working on clients such as IBM, Accenture and Deloitte.
Angevine holds master’s degree in professional studies from Georgetown University.
Abbott joins Planit as interactive project manager and will lead the process of defining website requirements, oversee project timelines and manage internal team resources throughout all stages of project development. Prior to joining Planit, Abbott worked as a senior account executive at Weber Shandwick’s working on clients such as PepsiCo, General Motors, and American Airlines.
Abbott graduated from Washington College with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
Anderson joins Planit as account executive, serving as a day-to-day account contact and playing a supportive role in the development of brand strategy for key accounts. Prior to joining Planit’s account team, Anderson worked as account manager at Harvey & Daughters working on in-store marketing materials and packaging with clients such as Covergirl.
Anderson graduated from Loyola University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
