Baltimore groups pledge financial support for GBC’s Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund

Sinclair Broadcast Group’s WBFF-TV, The Sun, The David D. Smith Family Foundation, Atlas Restaurant Group and MileOne Autogroup Monday announced plans to make financial donations in support of the Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund.

WBFF, The Sun and Atlas Restaurant Group will each donate $50,000 while the David D. Smith Family Foundation and MileOne Autogroup have both pledged $100,000 in support.

The Maryland Tough Baltimore Strong Key Bridge Fund through the Baltimore Community Foundation has been established to provide ongoing support to the recovery and resilience efforts for families, port workers, first responders, law enforcement, U.S. Coast Guard workers, small businesses and communities affected by the March 26 collapse of the Key Bridge.

All money raised through the fund will go back directly to the community.

WBFF is Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Baltimore station. The Hunt Valley-based Sinclair Broadcast Group is a subsidiary of Sinclair Inc., a diversified media company and leading provider of local news and sports.
