Service Coordination, Inc.

Jamie Stoner has spent two decades in health and human services, building a career devoted to advocacy for people with disabilities, their families and improvement of the systems that support them. As senior vice president of coordination of community services at Service Coordination, Inc., she works to lift the voices of people with disabilities and their families so that supports are designed around needs as defined by those who access them.
Stoner began her career as a direct support professional, where relationships with supported people and their families gave her a deep understanding of how critical support services are to an entire family unit and to people with disabilities seeking greater independence. Among her proudest accomplishments was launching a family support services program that brought information, education and access to services to families across the state. Under that program, she also oversaw the first truly inclusive summer camp, where students with disabilities and their typically developing peers learned and played together and from one another.
Today, she works for the largest nonprofit conflict-free case management provider in Maryland, which offers coordination of community services for more than 12,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. The role includes supervising more than 600 team members statewide who meet people in their homes, develop person-centered plans and coordinate services in communities. The work assists waiver participants with Medicaid eligibility, redetermination and coordination of complex care, ensures people receive assessments and support, and matches them with providers so they have options to live as they choose.
A Charting the LifeCourse ambassador and coach, Stoner also participates in a National Community of Practice Supporting Families. Her knowledge of how the entire service delivery system works together, along with her desire to collaborate and support those systems, gives her a unique perspective for connecting with stakeholders across the community. She advises government leaders on complex human services and healthcare systems and serves on the Maryland Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Administration Waiver Advisory Council, the DDA Sustainability and Equity Committee and the Maryland State Rehabilitation Council.
During the 2025 Legislative Session, Stoner educated Maryland leaders and collaborated with coalition members on efforts that helped restore significant Developmental Disabilities Administration funding and advance policy and regulatory changes allowing cost containment while minimizing harm to supported people. That success has led to invitations to advise ahead of the 2026 session. Her most rewarding work remains direct engagement in the community, and her goal stays steady: a developmental disability service delivery system that remains sustainable and effective in meeting the needs of people with disabilities.
