State Sen. Catherine Pugh and Councilman Carl Stokes are filing as candidates in the Baltimore Democratic mayoral primary.
Pugh is inviting supporters to walk with her from campaign headquarters to the Board of Elections around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Stokes says he’ll be at the Board of Elections around 11 a.m.
They are two of several candidates challenging Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Former Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors Vice President and Councilman Joseph T. “Jody” Landers, former city planning director and Sheila Dixon chief of staff Otis Rolley, perennial candidate Circuit Court Clerk Frank Conaway and nurse Wilton Wilson have already filed for the Democratic primary.
One Republican, Vicki Ann Harding, has filed. Independent Catalina Byrd says she will run.
The filing deadline for all candidates is Tuesday.
