What about your leadership style has helped grow your career and how have you had to change your leadership role/style during the past year?
My mantra consisted of hard work and leading by example, because I put so much time into ensuring the quality of my services, while setting the tone for others within my organization.
With the onset of the pandemic, I adopted a new leadership style based more on empowerment. I invested more in team and organizational development and sought channels to incorporate therapy and counseling, urging my staff to focus on self wellness and family.
Pivoting has enhanced my career as well as the success of my business. As women leaders it is our role to help grow the next generation of leaders.
What advice can you share to help impact not only the younger generation but also the women who are trying to grow in their careers and create positive change?
One of the most critical and powerful skills I possess is the ability to listen. It sounds simplistic in theory, but it is rather a complex talent. And although it sometimes requires being vulnerable, the payoff is transformative.
