What about your leadership style has helped grow your career and how have you had to change your leadership role/style during the past year?
As a leader, you must work in your passion. My grandmother showed me how to take her passion & break the glass ceiling by creating and owning her own company in the 1950’s, which then transferred to my mom and now me. Her barrier-breaking style impacted my every decision. I learn not to fear change & to believe in myself to transcend obstacles and build new pathways. Tackling a pandemic and being on the front lines caring for COVID-19 patients has given my company & team greater hope &confidence for the future as we lead thru adversity successfully.
The past year has made us all face change in ways we did not know were possible. What are the tools you use to embrace change and to help your team navigate that change with you? What are you doing to lead important change in your organization and/or Maryland?
During this pandemic, strong communication and education have been our driving factor in our success of combating COVID-19 in our leadership & our caregiving team. It was important to truly care about every life and explain the “why” they must learn measures to safeguard their life, their families and our patients. Every day, we were sharing new proven methods to protect lives. We built trust, knowledge and implementation by touching each person personally with integrity and purpose. We are a closer and more bonded company as a result.
