How do you define mentoring and what steps do you take to ensure it is a priority and just part of your job duties?

For some, mentoring is an opportunity to “pay it forward.” For others, it is important to “pay it back.” Most, if not all of us, are here because someone took the time & initiative to provide us with some form of mentorship. Women today have both an opportunity &an obligation to mentor our next generation of leaders. We should take this opportunity to engage them, share with them everything we have learned, listen to them, develop them for success but also prepare them to navigate successfully through potential pitfalls & detours. Mentoring can quite simply be achieved by just being available

The past year has not only been challenging with COVID but we have also faced race and discrimination challenges and realities as a state and a country. How do you establish a strategy for diversity, equity and inclusion in your organization and how do you use your influential voice to help others understand the importance?

The recent violent attacks occurring every day throughout our country against anyone of Asian decent is contrary to what our nation stands for “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” We must acknowledge this injustice.
