The Daily Record announces Most Admired CEOs
The Daily Record today announced its 2014 Maryland‘s Most Admired CEOs, a group of 30 top leaders in for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations statewide.
The winners will be recognized during an awards dinner Sept. 18 at the BWI Hilton.
The Daily Record launched its Most Admired CEOs program in 2012 in order to seek out and recognize remarkable business and nonprofit leaders in the state. Nominations for the award were solicited from the public, and winners were chosen by a panel of eight past Most Admired CEOs honorees and a representative of The Daily Record. Nominees were judged on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to inspiring change.
Winners are selected in six categories, including nonprofits that earn less than $10 million in annual revenue; nonprofits that earn more than $10 million in annual revenue; private companies with 150 or more employees; private companies with between 51-149 employees; private companies with 50 or fewer employees; and public companies.
“Being named a Most Admired CEO takes more than in-depth knowledge about running a company or organization. It requires an extraordinary level of drive and ambition because it is a tremendously challenging job,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They have learned the value of surrounding themselves with great team members, with leaders and employees who believe in the organization’s core values and mission. We at The Daily Record are honored to recognize these inspiring individuals.”
This year’s honorees include four leaders who are being recognized for a second time: Andy Bertamini, Maryland Region President of Wells Fargo Bank; Barb Clapp, president and CEO of Clapp Communications; Dr. Peggy Naleppa, president and CEO of Peninsula Regional Medical Center; and Alexandra Wrage, president and CEO of TRACE International, Inc.
